Always Born a Girl is dedicated to my sister Patty who has battled leukemia for the last 8 years. I received distressing news over the last two days. Patty's leukemia has come back again, she has no real treatment options, and is currently in  a Brooklyn New York hospice. I spoke to my brother-in-law Marty last night. Marty said she is slipping fast. I'm currently planning to fly up to New York tomorrow.
